I have collected the information on this website from family members rather than by researching records myself. Most of my mother's family history came from my uncle, Howard Rice, and from my great grandmother, Fannie Crosby Rice. Most of my father's family history came from Frances Dorrell, a cousin of my grandmother, Edith Simpson Hooper. I also obtained information about the Hooper line from correspondence with Madeline Warren. I have a number of books on family history, listed in Sources. Because I haven't carried out the research myself, it has been taken on trust. Ideally, it should be researched again and evidence documented. In 2017, I obtained membership of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, which proved my descent from William and Mary Brewster, so that suggests the rest of the research is probably accurate - on my mother's side at least. I am less confident about my father's side and the Hooper line. |
